Links to various sites belonging to friends or relating to the work of friends. There are some sites too that I have, over the years, found too wonderful to give up.

Personal Sites

Deborah McMillion-Nering

Deborah McMillion-Nering's artwork evokes the mysterious, the uncanny, and sometimes the macabre. At her elegant site you can both view and purchase her paintings.

Rusty White

Rusty White's Entertainment Insiders page will keep you abreast of all the dearly departed in the film and TV industries.

Phoebe Wray

Phoebe Wray is a director, poet, fiction writer, and professor of theater and cultural history at the Boston Conservatory.

Literature

Gaslight

Gaslight offer stories and a discussion group devoted to genre literature of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.  Mystery, ghost and adventure stories are common fare on one of the Internet's best-known genre-lit. sites.

Atlanta Review

Atlanta Review publishes poetry from all over the world.  My poem "Election Day" appears in the Tenth Anniversary Issue entitled The Gift of Experience, which you can read about at the site.

The ForPoetry Archive

The ForPoetry Archive presents a generous sampling of contemporary American poetry.

Scroll in Space

Scroll in Space is a compendium of short stories and non-fiction prose. It invites submissions, so if you have a story you'd like to try out online, you might be interested.  Be sure to take a look at the chapters in A Banquet of Crow by a friend from the '60s, Robert Ziegler. You can also read some of Rob Ziegler’s poetry in the September 2001 issue and the Winter 2003 issue of the Canadian e-zine Reflections on Water.

Words and Language

Anagram Server

If you like to juggle with words, tear them apart and put them back together again, you will enjoy visiting the Anagram Server

World Wide Words

Few people know as much about the English language as Michael Quinion, as he demonstrates at his site World Wide Words.

Films

Silent film

This site is a portal to a number of others on silent film.

Odeon

Odeon is still another portal, leading to sites that deal primarily with talking films, individual actors, and directors, as well as silents.
