Grandmother's Candy Tin
These photos from a bygone era are part of a much larger collection that my grandmother, Bessie Robbins, kept in a tin canister made originally to hold candy. They are mostly family photos, though some are of a more general interest.

My aunt, Sybil Robbins (left), and my mother in a photo dated 1945. Both young women were highly popular with the local GIs.

My great aunt Lily is pictured here with her husband, a man named Knight. After their marriage, the couple moved to Florida, where this photo was taken. Our family lost contact many years ago with her and the family she started.

Aunt Lily had a daughter, June, who married a man named Lastinger; June gave birth to two sons, Raymond and Bucky. This photo taken in 1948 shows, from left to right, Jerry Waldron (my Aunt Sybil’s son), being held up by Raymond Lastinger; and a curly-haired RC, held by June.
