Grandmother's Candy Tin

These photos from a bygone era are part of a much larger collection that my grandmother, Bessie Robbins, kept in a tin canister made originally to hold candy.  They are mostly family photos, though some are of a more general interest.

No one knows whether this is a tintype of a long distant relative or simply kept because it was a tintype.

Either by accident or malice, this photo has been partially ruined, but it communicates well the spirit of the time.

My maternal grandfather, William Henry Robbins (left), and an unknown man.
